Divine Experience
Divine experience needs questions to challenge the heart. Spiritual query is where we touch God and learn to love. Who tests your heart? What stretches you into greater understanding or greater peace? We are super comfortable learning from process, the “steps of faith” if you will, but we need the experience of awareness and consciousness. Growing into new relationships, traditions and practices needs you to pay attention to curiosity. Some fear this movement. It can feel counterintuitive to what you've learned or how you were trained but curiosity must kick us out of the spiritual nest. Be not afraid. God loves through the falling, the hard landing and ultimately the experience of learning to fly. Even if as we transform we rejoin those in the nest, it's the experience of freedom we need to taste to know the depths of God's love for us.
